STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Unhealthy Competition Mission Walkthrough

By
Matt Chard

Unhealthy Competition is a side mission from Sidorovich in Cordon in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This mission tests your loyalties where you’ll have to choose between eliminating Swedish, who is starting a new camp, or Sidorovich, who wants his competition eliminated. Read on to find out where to accept the mission, where to find Wisp, and who you should pick between Swedish and Sidorovich.

Sidorovich Location - Mission Start

This side mission can be obtained by speaking to Sidorovich in the Rookie Village in "Cordon" iconCordon. If you take the side mission A Light in the End of the Tunnel from Quiet’s Camp in "Wild Island" iconWild Island (south of Noontide), this will take you straight there. However, if you don’t want to do this mission, you’ll still need to travel through the camp to reach Cordon. From Noontide, head south across the carriages to reach Quiet’s Camp. From there, follow the road south 1km, and you’ll find the Rookie Village to your right.

Sidorovich can be found in a bunker accessed by heading down the stairs in the middle of the camp. When you get to him, ask him if he has any work for you (second option), and he’ll ask you to eliminate Wisp, someone who has been interfering with his business. Agree to the task, and exit the Rookie Village by taking the road east to the northwest.

(1 of 2) Follow the road south of Noontide to reach the Rookie Village. Sidorovich is in this exact location.

Finding Wisp

Follow the road and you’ll eventually reach a collapsed bridge. Go up the hill on either side of it, and you’ll find a Pig Farm. Enter the farm and several hog mutants will soon attack you. If you’re getting overwhelmed, jump up onto a car or somewhere higher up, and they’ll retreat…for now. Take out the hogs, and then you’ll have the entire area to explore with no threat.

Go into the southern building (supply stashes are in the north) and walk over to the western end of it to find Wisp’s corpse on the floor. Search his body for his "PDA" iconPDA, and you’ll find out he was in contact with someone over at the Tunnel Camp regarding setting up a trading post, which directly competes with Sidorovich. Shortly, you’ll get a call from Sidorovich asking how the job is going. You’ll tell him what happened to Wisp as well as the Tunnel Camp, and he’ll tell you to head over there and eliminate them.

(1 of 4) Wisp can be found in the Pig Farm, northeast of Rookie Village.

Tunnel Camp Location

Exit the Pig Farm and return to the collapsed bridge to the south. If you want Wisp’s Stash, you can find it on the train atop the bridge. From there, follow the track east, and you’ll eventually reach the Tunnel Camp. As you head further in, you’ll be stopped by Vova Jackdaw, who is a grunt for the man responsible for the Camp, Swedish, and he’ll let you pass to talk to him.

(1 of 3) Head back to the collapsed bridge and follow the tracks east to find the Tunnel Camp.

Sidorovich or Swedish?

Here, you’ll get a choice, tell Swedish about Sidorovich’s hit on him, or to kill them. If you tell Swedish about the hit, he’ll give you some coupons for your trouble, but he’ll eventually end up dead later anyway. If you kill them on the spot, you’ll get your mission reward from Sidorovich, but it’s not much more than what you get from Swedish (like an extra 500 coupons).

If you warn Swedish about the hit on him, he’ll wire some coupons over to you. Whether you kill him after is up to you.

However, if you have no moral compass, you can tell Swedish about the hit, pocket the coupons, and then kill them anyway to get the reward from Sidorovich. This also allows you to loot their camp, with Vova’s gun being particularly nice ("Grom S-14" iconGrom S-14), although it needs repairs. If you tell Swedish about the hit and leave them alive, you won’t get a reward from Sidorovich, but it doesn’t appear to change your relationship with him, at least not straight after. We’re unsure if this changes later on, but we’ll update the guide if we find out.
