Evanuris Altars in Dragon Age: Veilguard are scattered around Thedas and when found, they reward you with 100 health per altar. Also, you’ll obtain the No Real Gods achievement if you acquire all the Altars in the game (both Evanuris and Fen’harel). There are 13 Evanuris Altars in total, and you can find out where to find them below.

Evanuris Altar 1 - The Crossroads: Elvhenan’s Haven¶

Requires completing Harding’s The Waiting Stone (Quest) companion quest and the Gate of Faded Glories side quest.

Accept Harding’s companion quest, and it will take you to a new part of the crossroads, Elvhenan’s Haven. From the Beacon, head northwest and go through the hole in the wall (complete Gate of Faded Glories). In the next area, complete the bridge puzzle to allow you to explore more of the area. Follow the northeastern path to the end, climb the ledge to the east, and you’ll find the altar. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• East: Drop from the ledge you climbed to get to the altar and turn around to face the ledge. The target will be to the right of it.
• West: Walk over to the western bridge but don’t go over it. Instead, turn around to the northeast to find the target by the pillar.
• Southwest: In the center of the island, southwest of the altar, in the open field.
• Southwest: Behind the pillar where the southwest rotating lever is for the bridge puzzle.

Evanuris Altar 2 - Arlathan Forest: Shadowy Grove¶

Requires accepting the Spirits of the Dalish side quest from Ruins Reach.

Make your way to the Nameless Building Beacon, head east, and go down the nearby ladder into Shadow Grove. Follow the eastern path into the more open area, and go to the southeast corner (past the wolf statue), where you’ll find a small slope leading up. The altar will be at the top of the slope. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• North: Directly in front of you to the northeast, opposite the altar.
• North: On the slope behind the last target.
• West: Above the wolf statue.
• Northwest: Behind the wolf statue to the northwest.

Evanuris Altar 3 - Arlathan Forest: Riverside Ruins¶

Requires accepting the Spirits of the Dalish side quest from Ruins Reach.

From the Ancient Aqueduct Beacon, follow the western path down into Riverside Ruins, and drop off to the east. The altar will be to your right. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• Northeast: Directly in front of you to the northeast, opposite the altar.
• East: To the right of the last target.
• West: On top of the rocks that you dropped from to reach the altar (to the right of the altar if facing it).
• Northwest: Across the river to the northwest, above the pillar.

Evanuris Altar 4 - The Crossroads: Heights of Athim¶

From the Beacon, follow the path around to the southeast and climb the ladder just past the shack. Go over the wooden bridge to your right, and you’ll find the altar to your left. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• West: Turn to your west from the altar and look at the top of the snowy slope to find the target.
• North: Enter the dilapidated building north of the altar to find the target inside.
• Northeast: Jump to the platform below the altar to the northeast and look through the hole in the wall to your left.
• Northeast: In the same area as the last target, look above on the wooden path going around the tower in the southwest to find the target sitting on top.

Evanuris Altar 5 - The Crossroads: Converged City¶

Requires completion of the Gate of Lost Ages quest.

After going through the Gate of Lost Ages, you need to clear the area of all red crystals before defeating the golem. This will open the locked gate, giving you access to the altar situated in the southwest alcove. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• West: Go up the stairs to the west of the altar and follow the path to the end. The target will be behind a large barrel there.
• East: Look east from the altar to find the target above some rubble.
• North: Head north from the altar and go down the stairs to the west. At the bottom of the stairs, turn to your right to find the target.
• Northeast: Sitting in the corner, near where the Beacon to this area is.

Evanuris Altar 6 - Arlathan Forest: Ancient Aqueduct¶

Requires being on or completed Davrin’s How to Train a Griffon companion quest.

During the “How to Train a Griffon” quest, you’ll get access to the Ancient Aqueduct in Arlathan Forest. After accepting the quest, head east across the bridge, and follow the path around to the northeast. This will lead you to a cave with a door at the end (which was originally locked). Go through the door and head right, where you’ll find the altar to your left. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• Northwest: Go back into the room before the altar and come back out again. Now, look to the right of the doorway and slightly above to find the target next to the wall.
• North: Go back inside the building and look behind the rubble in the center to find the target.
• Southwest: Head down the stairs west of the altar and look on top of the southwest rock to the side of the stairs to find the target floating above it.
• Northwest: Head down the stairs west of the altar and continue to the edge of the cliff. The target will be floating in the air to the northwest.

Evanuris Altar 7 - Dock Town: Ghilan’nain’s Sanctum¶

Requires accepting the Cornered in the Catacombs side quest.

The altar can be found inside Ghilan’nain’s Sanctum, which is accessed during the Cornered in the Catacombs side quest. You can accept the quest by talking to the injured Grey Warden, Vesta, in Glandivalis Square after the On Deadly Wings main story quest. Follow the objectives until you reach the Sanctum, before defeating the enemies and destroying all the blight cysts. The altar will be in the center of the room, by the rubble. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• 1: West - Climb the stairs to the north of the altar and turn left.
• 2: North - Climb the wooden platform at the top of the stairs and shoot the target in the middle of the rubble to the north. This is obscured by a blight vine, so you’ll need to destroy that first.
• 3: Southeast - By the pillar opposite the altar.
• 4: East - Stand on the same wooden platform at the top of the stairs and shoot at the target below the golden fence to the east.

Evanuris Altar 8 - Rivain: Lava Flows¶

Must be on or have completed Taash’s Fire on the Sands companion quest.

Make your way through the Fire on the Sands quest, until you have to feed the birds in the Lava Flows area. Continue following Taash until you reach the second set of birds (after crossing the beam), and then head through the archway to the west (right of where Taash goes). This will lead to the altar, which is right of the door. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• East: Head back to the archway and look above it to find the target.
• East: On the other side of the same archway.
• Northeast: From the archway, head back to the wooden beam you took to get here and look to the right of it.
• North: Climb up the area where Taash went, and after climbing the first ledge, go up the stairs to the right. You’ll find the target at the end of the path.

Evanuris Altar 9 - Rivain: Clifftops¶

In the northwestern corner of the area (near the brazier), climb up the ledges behind it. Use Lucanis’ Ability to create a path over the gap to find a cave with a chest and an altar. It’s above and behind the Beacon there. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• South: Head back outside and look over the cliff to find the target. Somewhat near the Beacon.
• South: Directly behind the first target, but a bit lower (close to the tree).
• West: Head left out of the cave and look up a little.
• Southwest: Outside the cave, walk to the cliff edge and look down and southwest. The target will be under the outstretched tree.

Evanuris Altar 10 - Arlathan Forest: Tainted Woods¶

Requires completion of Davrin’s How to Train a Griffon companion quest.

Completing Davrin’s How to Train a Griffon quest gives you access to the Tainted Woods, situated in the north of Arlathan Forest, which is accessed by going across a log to the west in the Hidden Grove. In Tainted Woods, follow the path and go across the planks of wood in the stream before going north to find the altar. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• East: Head back to the river and take the planks over to the eastern path. Walk north, and you’ll find the target to the right of the statue.
• Northeast: From the last target, continue north a little, and look above the broken pillar.
• Northeast: From where you shot the last target, face west to find the target atop the broken wall behind the altar.
• Northwest: Head to the west of the altar and take the path north to find a ladder with a padlock on it. Shoot the padlock to release the ladder and climb up.

Evanuris Altar 11 - Hossberg Wetlands: Gaspin Manor¶

Requires accepting An Academic Interest side quest from Lavendel.

Teleport to the Gapsin Manor or make your way there, and go into the manor (after destroying the red crystals) to be met with a blue barrier. Head up the stairs to the left of it into the next room and drop into the room below. Go into the adjacent room and head outside to the southwest to find the altar. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• Northeast: Directly behind you after activating the altar.
• Northeast: In the center of the previous room, near the fireplace.
• North: In the northwest corner of the same room.
• Northeast: Above the long table where you dropped to access the area.

Evanuris Altar 12 - Hossberg Wetlands: Inner Courtyard¶

Requires being on or having completed “The Cauldron” main quest.

This altar is in the Inner Courtyard, which you will gain access to once you reach The Cauldron main quest. During the quest, you’ll go to the Inner Courtyard, where you must destroy the blight. The easiest way to find the altar is to teleport to the Castle Ground Beacon and follow the wall southwest until you reach the Inner Courtyard. After passing the dilapidated wall, the altar will be to your left in front of the tower. You can find the targets in the following locations:

• Northwest: In front of the iron gate in the northwestern wall.
• Northwest: Below and to the right of the ramparts with the Ballista on it.
• Northwest: In front of the crates near the left griffon statue. To the right of the previous target.
• North: In the center of the ramparts’ archway, to the left of the vines.

Evanuris Altar 13 - Rivain Coast: Lava Caves (north)¶

Requires being on or having completed “Lair of the Dragon King” companion quest.

During Taash’s Lair of the Dragon King, you’ll enter the Sharksmouth Mountain, at which point you’ll enter the Lava Caves. This is a massive area, so it can be tricky to find, but as you head north through the Lava Caves, you’ll find path to your left that you can raise stone blocks with Harding’s power. Follow this around to find the final Evanuris Altar at the top.

You can find the targets in the following locations:

• North: Look behind the Altar to the north and left a little to see it in the air at eye level.
• North: Look behind the Altar to the north and right a little to see it down below.
• West: Go back the way you came to the west and lower the nearest stone block to find it underneath.
• Southeast: Look off the edge of the cliff to the southeast and down to find the final target.
