The Smuggled Relic Case is the ninth main story quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and can be accessed after the Into the Crossroads MQ. Read on to find out where you need to go, and what you get for completing the quest.

Starting The Smuggled Relic Case¶
Once you’ve completed the main story quest Into the Crossroads, speak with Neve who can be found back at the Lighthouse and you’ll discover that she thinks the members of The Shadow Dragon Resistance Group could help fight back against the gods. You’ll now want to set off for Dock Town, but before you do you’ll need to select someone to join you and Neve. We recommend Harding as she can heal you throughout the battles.
Track Down the Relic¶
The quest will begin with a short conversation with The Viper and he mentions that there are some dangerous relics being sold on the black market. Neve wants to put a stop to this, so follow her until you reach Razikale Walk and then you’ll need to find a way into the temple. Head up the stairs to the north of the area and follow the path around until you drop down into the temple via a hole in the rooftop.

Inspect the corpse in the corridor before heading up to the courtyard, then defeat the onslaught of demons before entering a small room in the southwest corner. Use Neve’s ability to investigate the blue orb and quickly open the gear chest in the opposite corner, then use Neve’s ability on the enchanted lock to disable the shield. Make your way over to the back of the Central Market and climb up the ladder to reach the roof, then have Neve inspect another blue orb to summon the remnant.
Find a Way to the Docks¶
It mentions ringing bells which points you in the direction of the docks, so you’ll want to head over to the back of the Central Market again and attempt to use the elevator. Unfortunately, its out of order so instead make your way over to a locked gate on the opposite side and use Neve’s ability to open it. Make your way through the area and climb up to the rooftop of The Warrens and then deal with the enemies before going through The Garden Restaurant and using the zipline to reach the docks.

Interact with the blue orb which is located in the center of the area, then you’ll have to deal with a Venetori Mage Captain which can be done by stripping its shield with ranged attacks and using ice-based attacks to hit elemental weakness. After the cutscene has come to a close, head over to the back of the nearby building and climb up the ladders to reach the roof. Shoot the floating crystals to unseal the barrier, then follow The Spillway along until you come across Albin Bateris.

This battle isn’t overly difficult as long as you dodge out of the AoE Markers and deal with the adds when they spawn. To begin, you’ll want to strip the bosses shield with long ranged attacks, such as Bow: Rogue, Mage: Staff and Shield Throw: Warrior. Once the shield has been depleted you’ll want to start hitting his elemental weakness via Neve’s ice spells and then utilize combo-attacks when they become available.

Once you’ve successfully defeated Albin Bateris the quest will come to a close and you’ll be rewarded with 2,500 XP, 
Exhaustive Notes, +100 Shadow Dragons Strength and Companion Bond Increase.
